As the sun set, Blackstripe became very hungry. She went over to the fresh kill pile looking for something to eat. A juicy squirrel lay in the pile. Blackstripe eyed it. There was quite a bit of food, and she needed some energy, besides, she wasn't breaking any rules, the kits and elders had already ate, and she would be eager to remind people of that if they dared to challenge her.
Blackstripe prided herself on her brains. Knowledge is power was one of her saying, and she wouldn't let anyone correct her on that, even though technically, the power lay in the rank system. She for one, though the system was weak. It needed more support. A lead warrior whose job was to map out battles and stratagies, someone who came up with new training methods as well. A few other jobs were needed, like an official kit-sitter for the queens, a leaders advisor, and then have the deputy be the one who gave the orders after everyone reported to him.
She knew she would never be a leader, and there was always the fact that the other clans wouldn't be accepting to her ideas, but that was just how she would do it. She dug her jaw into the squirrel after picking it up and dragging it to a spot. Her stomach rumbled as if to say "More", so Blackstripe did. She ate up the squirrel and disposed the leftovers. She stood up and padded to a section with less blood where it dripped down as she ate the squirrel and also less guts.
She found a nice patch of soft grass and rolled on her back. She started licking herself clean. After a long day, this felt especially nice. She got rid of all the dirt and dust, plus everything else. Soon, her pelt felt shiny new and clean. The last part of her day had to consist of some time to talk to other people. She had heard a few rumors as far as camp gossip went and she wanted to seperate the truths from the lies.
She looked around but no one she knew especially well seemed to be availible at the time. Half of her wanted to return to her den while the other half would have much rather introduced herself to someone new. She decided that instead of talking to other peope and make the effort to walk over and introduce herself, she would let people come to her. That would make things much simpler.
Ooc- Gosh, I'v started so many threads, but hey, at least I know I won't go inactive.
